当就地γ谱仪探头距地面高度1 m时,可有效探测来自半径12 m以上地表的γ射线,土壤量多达几吨,而一般取样实验室分析的土壤样品量不过几百克,因此相比取样实验室分析,就地γ谱仪测量具有测量时间短、结果代表性强和无需取样、制样等优点。实际测量中,HPGe的探测范围一般在20 m左右,要求此范围内的土壤平坦、没有遭受破坏,测量过程中探头一般朝下,测量时间60~90 min不等。选取原子能院气象站平地进行了峰吸收法实验测量,并将测量结果与高气压电离室的测量结果进行比较,脉冲高度谱如图1所示。
