金堆城钼业公司设有中选和大选两个选厂,共有φ3.6×4米格子型球磨机13台,日处理原矿量为21600吨,是我国目前最大的钼矿基地。该矿床类型属细脉浸染型钼矿床。金属矿物主要有辉钼矿、黄铁矿,其次为黄铜矿、磁铁矿和少量的斑铜矿。脉石矿物主要有石英、黑云母、正长石、白云母等。矿石平均普氏硬度为12～14。磨矿机组主要技术条件为:入料粒度-15毫米,磨机(有效容积为36米~3)处理能力为70吨/台时,钢球单耗1.5公斤/吨矿石,磨矿浓
