铣削棘轮轮齿的加工方法,与前角大于零的圆盘刀坯开齿方法相同。因为棘齿的齿槽角一般为60°,故使用60°单角铣刀来铣齿极为方便(图1)。铣齿时须将铣刀端面与工件中心偏过一个距离S,铣齿深度靠工作台升高量H来保证。由图1可知,偏移量S和工作台升高量H的计算公式为(单位均为mm):S=(1/2)De sinα,De=mz (1)H=(1/2)De(1-Cosα)+h′(2)式中:De为棘轮外径[mm];m为模数;z为齿数;α为棘轮的齿偏角;h′为棘轮的齿槽深[mm]。
