王树声,1905年5月26日生于大别山西麓湖北省麻城县乘马岗区项家冲,1926年加入中国共产党。他是黄麻起义的领导人之一,参加了中国工农红军第一至第四次反“围剿”作战、两万五千里长征以及抗日战争和解放战争,是鄂豫皖、川陕革命根据地和红四方面军的创始人之一,历任红一军第一师第一团团长、红四军第十一师师长、红四方面军副总指挥兼第三十一军军长,晋冀豫军区副司令员、代司令
Wang Shusheng, was born on May 26, 1905 in the western foot of the Dabie Mountains Macheng County Magu District Xiangjiachong, joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1926. He was one of the leaders of the jute uprising and took part in the first to fourth rounds of fighting against the “encirclement and suppression” campaign held by the Red Army in China’s Workers and Peasants.
