政和大白茶,亦称白毫茶。原产福建省政和县铁山公社高崙头。系单株选育出来的无性系良种,制造红茶、白茶、绿茶品质俱佳,至今有近百年的栽培历史。1965年全国茶树品种会议曾作为向全国推广的二十一个良种之一。 政和大白茶发芽期特迟,越冬芽萌发期在三月底至四月初,比早芽种约迟一个月,比中芽种亦迟15~20天。因此,搭配种植,对调节茶季洪峰效果甚佳。目前除政和、松溪等原产地有大面积种植外,全省各茶区以及江苏、浙江、安徽、广东、广西、湖南、湖北等产茶省地有引种繁育,在一般正常的管理条件下,亩产大致在三百斤左右。但也有一些地方对政和 Politics and white tea, also known as white tea.
