大学英语是高校中重要的必修课,通过英语学习,提高学生的跨文化交际能力和英语语言应用能力。传统英语教学中,往往是以教师为中心,教师重视讲解语言知识点和传授语法及词汇,却忽视了语篇教学的重要性。语篇教学重视通过生词词汇和上下文进行推断文章的主要内容,语篇教学的教学目标是培养学生对整个篇章的理解水平。本文简要分析了语篇教学在高校英语中的应用,旨在为提高高校英语教师的教学水平,提高学生的英语交际能力。
College English is an important compulsory course in colleges and universities. Through English study, students’ intercultural communication skills and English language ability are improved. In traditional English teaching, teachers are often the center. Teachers attach importance to explaining knowledge of language and teaching grammar and vocabulary while neglecting the importance of text teaching. Discourse teaching emphasizes on inferring the main content of articles through the vocabulary and context of new words. The teaching goal of discourse teaching is to cultivate the students’ understanding of the entire chapter. This article briefly analyzes the application of discourse teaching in college English, aims at improving the teaching level of college English teachers and improving students’ communicative competence in English.
