本刊从今年第一期起辟拦讨论“这样的党员是否应列为不合格党员”的问题,引起了两种不同意見的争论。焦点在于对合格党员标准的把握上。在这个问题上认识不统一,就没有办法具体解决对党员的民主评议,对犯错误党员的处理以及在发展党员中遇到的种种问题。为此,本期在“问题讨论”中发表朱其高的文章。有兴趣研究的读者、作者,可结合案例撰写文章,展开进一步的讨论。另外一些读者在来信来访中提出意见,认为讨论不应局限于几个案例,也不应局限在如何处置几个不合格党员的问题,而应由此引出如何认识改革开放时期党的性质、党性原则、社会主义初级阶段商品经济条件下对党员教育的特点和要求、改革开放下共产党员应有什么样的形象,如何正确有效地开展对党员的民主评议等等。我们认为这些意见是很好的。因此自本期起,我们将问题讨论的题目改为“处置不合格党员引起的讨论”。

We think these opinions are good. Therefore, starting from this issue, we will change the subject of the discussion on the issue to “discussing the disposal of unqualified party members.”
