1985年4月16日的早晨,我做了父亲。老天爷给我这世界上最棒的孩子——小牛。经过一夜的等待,当我正坐在荣总产房门外的椅子上养神时,突然涌来了大批记者……难道他们是为我的小牛而来?急忙起身,上前探个究竟。原来在同一早晨、同一地点,台湾第一位试管婴儿——张小弟在此“问世”!失望之情马上被好奇取代。根据探听的结果,张妈妈为了得到这个孩子,怀孕之前的一再尝试与失败不说;在怀孕成功之后,为了避免因震动而流产,张妈妈甚至一连躺在床上好几个月没有下床。
