据联合国教科文组织、世界卫生组织对“健康”一词的界定,“健康”之含义中生理健康为四分之一,而心理健康之比重却占四分之三。目前,我国初中生的心理问题不仅普遍存在,有的还较为严重。据一项调查显示,在被调查的初中生中,有29%在学习方面有厌学心理;在考试方面普遍存在考试焦虑、考试恐惧和认知变态现象;占41%的学生情绪波动大,心理脆弱,抗挫折能力差;28%的学生存在着交往上的障碍,缺乏责任意识和合作精神;在生活适应性方面,相当一部分学生因娇生惯养导致依赖性强,不会劳动,不会自理,缺乏自立意识和生存能力……数据显示,目前我国中小学生因自杀死亡的,占非正常死亡因素的第二位。在人们普遍关心素质教育的今天,强化心理健康教育已经刻不容缓。
