Comrade He Guangyue’s “History of Baiyueyuan” was published by Jiangxi Education Publishing House in December, 1989. This is a summary of the history of Baiyue history of nationalities in recent 100 years, including “Baiyue Ethnic History”, “Baiyue Ethnic Culture”, “ Wu Yue new culture of ”three monographs after another masterpiece. “Baiyue” is the collective name of “Yue People” of the southern ethnic minorities in ancient China. It is distributed in such vast areas as the South and the Indochina Peninsula, and the history has lasted for thousands of years. It is not only an indispensable and important member in the historical development of the unified multi-ethnic family in our country, but also makes a tremendous contribution to the history and civilization of the motherland. In the last eight decades, although some scholars in the academic circles have made some researches on the origins of the Yue people and their branches (such as Yue Vietnam, Yue Yang, Ou Yue, Min Yue, Nan Yue, Luo Yue and Shan Yue) However, different opinions, incomprehensible. It mainly focuses on the theory that “the more Yu later”, the indigenous theory and the resulting debate between Bae Yue’s homology and different sources. Therefore, to find out the origins and distribution of the Baiyue nation is one of the most urgent problems to be solved in the study of the national history of Baiyue. It is also the key point to study the history of the Baiyue nation more deeply. As a member of the research group of the Baiyue National History Society of China, Comrade He Guangyue has a full and clear understanding of this book. This book is one of his major contributions to the study of the history of Baiyue in China.
