2002年2月18日,在美国盐湖城举行的第十九届冬奥会上,中国短道速滑女队队长杨扬,以44.187秒的成绩赢得短道速滑500米金牌,实现了金牌零的突破。23日,她又在1000米比赛中为中国代表团夺得第二枚金牌。杨扬,这位连续四个赛季名列世界短道速滑个人全能第一的冰坛名将,在国际奥委会第3届执委会上,被提名为国际奥委会运动委员会委员候选人。自她在1990年参加全国短道速滑锦标赛获得第一面金牌以来,她的金牌已接近百枚大关,杨扬已经成为中国体育界金牌第一大户。然而有谁知道这一枚枚金灿灿的金牌不仅凝聚着她的汗水与心血,还演绎着一个令人回肠荡气的冠军梦!
