炭窑口硫铁矿选矿试验厂是为处理单一硫铁矿而建的选矿厂。为充分回收铜硫矿石中的有益组分，开展了细磨浮选流程与粗磨齐尾后铜粗精矿再磨精选流程的研究，试验证明后者可显著提高铜精矿品位和收率。为此，对试验厂进行了技术改造，增设了铜硫分离和铜粗精矿再磨车间。生产指标达到了技改设计的要求，经济效益每年可增加１５０万元。二个月就可回收技改项目的全部投资。
