The level of clinical autopsy often reflects the medical standard of a hospital and a country. The autopsy rate of most hospitals in the United States remains around 40-60%. Countries with more advanced international standards also clearly stipulate that hospitals with autopsy rates below 15% are not allowed to undertake teaching.
