[本文原刊于《二十一世纪》二○○七年八月第一○二期香港中文大学中国文化研究所]九七前后,香港的视觉艺术家集体性对政治、社会文化议题作出响应,他们从九七至今足走了十年的光景。究竟这段历史对当时及日后的艺术家带来了怎样的关注、讨论和行动?假设九七是香港艺术史一个重要转折点,为香港艺术家带来一定的创作体验和认知的话,对这段历史论述的延伸、再读及反思,或许能为我们当下对应过去、面向未来提供一些启迪。
[This article was originally published around “Chinese Culture Institute, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, August 2010, twenty-first century”, August 2007) Hong Kong’s visual artists collectively responded to political and social cultural issues. They have been walking ten years since 1997. What kind of attention, discussion and action did this passage bring to the artists at that time and in the future? Supposing that 1997 was an important turning point in the history of art in Hong Kong and brought some creative experience and cognition to Hong Kong artists, Extensions, rereads and introspection may offer some enlightenment for us now corresponding to the past and future-oriented.
