佐治亚医科大学的B.B.Webber等在南佐治亚州Albany的一次中学生调查中,发现一种快速异常Hb。先证者是一个15岁的黑人女性杂合子,没有任何的血液学和临床的异常,异常Hb的含量是23.8%,其母与兄均无类似异常Hb,该异常Hb属以前未曾报导过的变异物。先证者的血用EDTA抗凝,其红细胞溶血液用淀粉胶和醋纤膜的碱性及酸性电泳易被分离。异常Hb的位置在Hb A的前方,相当于J组;枸橼酸琼脂电泳不能使它与Hb A分离。用DEAE纤维素柱层析做异常
B.B. Webber of the Georgia Medical University found a rapid abnormal Hb in a high school student survey in Albany, South Georgia. The proband was a 15-year-old black female heterozygote without any hematological or clinical abnormalities. The abnormal Hb content was 23.8% with no abnormalities of Hb in both mother and brother, and the abnormal Hb was previously reported Variants. The blood of probands is anticoagulated with EDTA. The hemolysin of erythrocytes is easily separated by alkaline and acidic electrophoresis with starch gel and cellulose acetate membrane. Abnormal Hb position in front of Hb A, equivalent to the J group; citrate agar electrophoresis can not make it and Hb A separation. Abnormal with DEAE cellulose column chromatography
