黄疸,又称黄瘅,是指身目悉黄,小便短赤为其特征的一种疾病。诚如《素问·平人气象论篇》谓:“溺黄赤,安卧者,黄疸,……目黄者,曰黄疸。”《沈绍九医话》云:“凡全身面目小便皆黄称黄疸。”古人对黄疸的成因论述很多,一言蔽之,乃湿热熏蒸肝胆所致。其发病机理,如外感湿热时邪,伏暑未解,郁而不达;饮食劳倦,损伤脾胃,湿热内生,郁遏中焦,浸淫肝胆,胆液不得下泄,溢于肌肤而发黄。亦有劳倦内伤,中阳不足,湿从寒化,胆液受阻,疏泄不利,渐渍肌肤而成阴黄者。《临证指南医案》按云:“阳
