Conservative Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s defense policy moves have raised fears that Japanese young people will be sent overseas to fight again. Ishida was enlisted in 1943. He thought at the time. He is fighting for justice in order to free Asia from Western colonial rule. He did not start questioning Japanese militarism until he participated in the daily training and practice of killing him. After Japan surrendered, it committed supreme crimes of mass destruction to the world. Ishida was therefore committed to defending the peace constitution, which was forcibly promulgated by the U.S. equivalent authorities that had been seized after the victory. The former militarist officer is now more frightened that Japanese young people will once again be sent overseas for operations because the country has undergone major changes in its defense policy for nearly 70 years.
