解放战争时期,潮汕战场上活跃着一支敌人闻风丧胆的武仁队,由时任揭阳县委副书记的林史直接指导,威震四方。出身农家,6岁就被卖给别人当养子的林史和战友们把武装发展至1200多人,为解放潮汕做出了贡献。新中国成立后,林史同志先后在广东惠来县委、北京中央监察部、江西井冈山、广东省财贸委、广东省司法厅等单位工作过,党指向哪里他就奔向哪里,做到北上南下、能上能下,一切服从党需要。1983年,他办理了离休,但离职不离鞍,连任司法厅离休干部党支部书记14年。离休后林史同志以4年时间参加省老年大学诗词研究班学习传统诗词,结业时评为优秀学员。学习了诗词和书法以后,不但身心受到陶冶,更扩大了离休后生活的天地。每逢春节、国庆、党的生日和老人节
