黑荆树(Acacia mearnsii de Wild.)原产澳洲,它的树皮是优质高产的栲胶原料(干皮含单宁49.65%),材质坚韧,可作建筑、船板、坑木、电柱、农具、家俱等用材。根系发达,具根瘤菌,因此,又是改良土壤和水土保持的优良树种。1962～1963年,平阳县山门林场和我所首先开始引种,目前引种范围扩大到瑞安、乐清二县和温州市,永加、文成等县国营林场、苗圃也有零星栽植。现将黑荆树在温州地区引种栽培情况调查总结如下:
