At INDEX 2011, WACKER exhibited a number of water-based polymer adhesives for the coating and modification of fine textiles and nonwovens. The focus is on vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) and ethylene-vinyl chloride (E-VC) -based copolymer emulsions branded VINNAPAS and VINNOL. Exhibits cover tablecloths, wipes or hygiene products and other consumer goods and roller blinds, furniture, fabrics used in adhesives and wallpaper and carpet with latex. The new products on display mainly include a new water-repellent emulsion for the production of color-stable nonwoven wallpaper and an innovative adhesive for flame-retardant textiles. INDEX 2011 is an exhibition centered on nonwovens, fibers and textile composites, held in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 12 to 15.
