Objective: The effects of different slice thickness and pitch on multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) coronary artery imaging. MATERIALS AND METHODS: MSCs were obtained from 8 fresh pigs injected with contrast agent selectively with a pitch of 1 and 1.5, respectively, and the layer thicknesses were 5mm, 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 0.6mm, respectively. Volume scanning (VR) is performed on all data after the scan is completed. Two researchers independently scored all post-processed 3D images independently according to the grading standards set by this group. Results: Layer thickness had a significant effect on the image quality of coronary arteries. The thinner the layer thickness, the more satisfactory the coronary vessels showed, and the smaller vessel branches could be better displayed. However, the use of different pitches of 1 and 1.5 had no significant effect on the image quality of coronary arteries. Conclusion: Layer thickness significantly affects coronary arteries image quality.
