During his tenure as a visiting scholar at the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, Xu Huaxiang became a member of the contemporary Chinese ink painting innovation team with his well-known Chinese artist and art educator Du Da Kai. Du Da Kai has devoted himself to the reform of Chinese painting for a long period of time and has taken the lead in breaking through the stylized shackles of traditional Chinese ink painting and integrating the achievements of Western modern art.
