大力发展高等职业教育,是浙江省经济持续、快速发展的迫切要求,是实现高等教育大众化的重要举措。1999年以来,浙江省以成人高校的改制、改组和部分中专升格为途径,正式组建构独立设置的高职院校29所,筹建8所,学校数量已占全省高校数量的一半。浙江省在发展高等职业教育进程中,始终坚持办学特色,狠抓教学质量,使专业设置更加贴近市场需要。实践充分证明,高等职业教育不仅提升了全省职业教育的层次,扩大了高等教育的资源,而且在经济社会发展中扮演越来越重要的角色。
Vigorous development of higher vocational education is an urgent requirement of sustained and rapid economic development in Zhejiang Province and an important measure to popularize higher education. Since 1999, Zhejiang Province, with the restructuring and reorganization of adult colleges and universities as well as the upgrading of some secondary technical schools, formally established 29 independent vocational colleges and set up 8 institutes, accounting for half of the total number of colleges and universities in the province. In the process of developing higher vocational education in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang University has always insisted on the characteristics of running a school and paid close attention to the quality of teaching so that the professional setting more closely matches the needs of the market. Practice has fully proved that higher vocational education not only enhances the province’s level of vocational education, expand the resources of higher education, but also play an increasingly important role in economic and social development.
