中国大学体育教育在借用西方模式的过程中,经50余年(20世纪50年代初到本世纪初)教育实践,形成了教学的规定性、课程的统一性、考核的标准化三大显著特征,再生了中国传统文化的基因,简约地说,是反应了中国传统的人学身体观、政治一统观和人才选拔制度的影响。这一传统延续于中国现代体育教育。由于体制的左右与传统惯性,加上体育教育界的两个内部因素,过于强调体育教育的专业性和专业地位,过于防止体育课程的边缘化,大学体育教育也不得不在,甚至可以说,一般体育教师也乐意在统一教学中随波逐流。时下,中国大学的体育教育正在变革创新,上述三个特征,已悄然变化,尤其是后两个特征,课程的统一性与考核的标准化,基本动摇;课程的自主性,考核的灵活性,渐成主导。如何卸除传统阻力,积累传统动力,与时俱进,创新中国特色大学体育教育模式,是问题的关键。
