十二届全国人大常委会第十次会议通过关于设立烈士纪念日的决定,以法律形式将9月30日设立为烈士纪念日,并规定每年9月30日国家举行纪念烈士活动。为什么要设立烈士纪念日?近代以来,为了争取民族独立和人民自由幸福,为了国家繁荣富强,无数的英雄献出了生命,烈士的功勋彪炳史册,烈士的精神永垂不朽。为了弘扬烈士精神,缅怀烈士功绩,培养公民的爱国主义、集体主义精神和社会主义道德风尚,培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,增强中华民族的凝聚力,激发实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的强大精神力量,国家设立烈士纪念日。
The 10th Session of the 12th NPC Standing Committee passed the decision on setting up a martyr anniversary day, establishing September 30 as a martyr anniversary day by law and stipulating that the state hold a commemorative martyrdom event on September 30 each year. Why should we set up a commemoration day for martyrs? In modern times, numerous national heroes have sacrificed their lives for the sake of national independence and people’s freedom and happiness. The merits of martyrs have kept their history intact and their martyrs are immortal. In order to carry forward the martyr’s spirit, cherish the memory of martyrs, cultivate the citizens’ patriotism, collectivism and socialist morality, cultivate and practicing the core values of socialism, enhance the cohesion of the Chinese nation, and inspire the powerful spirit of realizing the great dream of rejuvenating the Chinese nation Strength, the country set up a martyr anniversary.
