过去,用于栽培食用菌的段木,主要是枹属的小圆木。但近年来,随着栽培方法的系统化以及盛行终年栽培,天然段木的供给受到了限制,而且造成了段木价格提高。于是,人们期望有价格便宜、量大的人工段木来代替天然段木。本发明实现了上述要求,它采用木材碎片和锯屑等废料作木质基材,加上粘结剂使其成型。由于在其木材细胞腔内含有空气,有利于木腐菌繁殖。
