周口地区地处黄淮平原,是一个典型的平原农区。本区地势平坦,土层深厚,光热条件优越,雨量适中,适宜发展农牧业生产。但由于人多地少,又没有天然草场草坡,饲草饲料不足,致使人畜争粮矛盾突出。从这一实际情况出发,我所于1985—1987年在太康,扶沟县的六个基点进行了粮草间作发展农牧业生产的试验。结果证明:采用科学合理的粮草间作制度,既能解决饲草饲料不足,人畜争粮的矛盾,又能充分利用土地资源,把“用地”和“养地”结合起来,形成了农牧业生产的良性循环。一、粮草间作能提高土壤肥力,保证粮食稳定生产实行粮草间作,用草养畜能提高土壤肥
Zhoukou area is located in the Huanghuai Plain, is a typical plain farming area.
