从新大陆回归旧世界数百年后当历史学家回顾廿一世纪的前几十年时,或许会发现这段时期最显著的特色就是这样的趋势:新大陆在从根重塑、回归亚洲旧世界。目前西方各界都在重新审视旧模式与老方法——从币值重估(有关全球货币实施金本位制的讨论已然空前热烈)、生态意识(自给自足社区的风行)乃至于政经体制(欧洲经济强国已开始私下探讨逐步解散欧元区超国家组织、回归主权国家制度的可能)皆然,而在此一现象下最引人瞩目的,也就是通过中国崛起所孕育的“第二波”——回归旧世界——这股来势汹汹的浪潮。
