青海地处青藏高原的东北部,地势高耸,境内多山,气温偏低,空气比较干燥,是种子贮藏的天然基地。我院种子就是利用这种优越的自然环境开放通气贮藏的,库内温、湿度以自然变化为转移,只是变幅较小,一般种子放在向阳干燥库房中,可经9—20年繁殖更新一次。因作物种类、品种,甚至个体耐藏性而异。如油菜具有较高的含油量和较低的亲水胶体,含水量较低,一般为9.66％,最低在7.7％。同时脂肪含量多又易氧
