肆虐威海地区的海上走私风，经过专项打击已经刹住。特别是乳山市的走私香烟案，有关人员已受到严惩：乳山市原商业局局长刘起山、威海市边防分局原政委范占武及该局业务处副处长刘宁分别以走私罪、受贿罪数罪并罚被判处死刑；乳山市原市委书记王建智以受贿罪、徇私枉法罪数罪并罚被判处死刑，缓期2年执行。威海这股海上走私风虽已停息，然而痛定思痛，人们思索着这股风起的原因和教训。为此，我们刊登夏文义、詹新华同志撰写的《威海走私风缘何猖獗》一文，以供读者研究参考。
The smuggling of sea smuggling in the Weihai region has been stopped after a special blow. In particular, in the case of smuggling of cigarettes in Rushan City, relevant personnel have been severely punished: Liu Qishan, Director of the original Commercial Bureau of Rushan City, Fan Zhanwu, former political commissar of the Weihai Municipal Border Defense Branch, and Liu Ning, deputy director of the Bureau’s Business Department, punished by smuggling and bribery. He was sentenced to death; Wang Shanzhi, former party secretary of Rushan City, was sentenced to death for committing crimes of bribery, illegality and defamation, and was suspended for two years. Although Weihai’s maritime smuggling winds have ceased, they have made painstaking efforts and people ponder over the reasons and lessons of this wind. For this purpose, we published the article “Where is the wind in Weihai smuggling in Weihai” written by Comrades Xia Wenyi and Zhan Xinhua for readers’ reference.
