在20世纪90年代开发出了阻燃型天然酯绝缘变压器冷却油（变压器绿色环保植物绝缘油）,其燃点大于300℃,远高于GB2536—1990《变压器油》中的要求;饱和蒸汽压更低、挥发量更低而更不易被引燃;具有较高的黏度,泄漏后不易快速扩散形成大范围火灾,有利于防火控制。
