1990年8月25日,雄伟壮观的红军长征纪念碑在四川省松潘县元宝山顶落成。红军长征纪念碑缘何选在此地?选点四川在红军长征中具有重要的战略地位和作用。红军在这里经过的时间长,活动的范围广,面临的环境艰险,进行的斗争卓绝,创造的业绩多,付出的牺牲也大。基于这方面的考虑,在红军长征胜利50周年之际,党中央、中央军委决定在四川建立一座纪念红军长征的“总碑”。
On August 25, 1990, the majestic Red Army Long March Monument was completed at the top of Yuanbaoshan in Songpan County, Sichuan Province. Why the Long March Monument of the Red Army Selected here? The election of Sichuan has an important strategic position and role in the Red Army’s Long March. The Red Army has been here for a long time, has a wide range of activities, has faced tremendous difficulties in the environment, has conducted outstanding combat, has created many achievements and sacrificed a great deal. Based on these considerations, on the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, the Central Party Committee and the Central Military Commission decided to establish in Sichuan a “total monument” to commemorate the Long March of the Red Army.
