地域的差异孕育出不同的文化,不同的文化差异体现在语言上。中西文化的差异对英美文学翻译有着重要的影响。由于中西方之间的地域差别、风俗习惯、自然环境等方面的影响,决定了中西文化间存在着较大的不同。这些文化上的差异导致我们在进行英美文学翻译的时候不能单纯地从我们的文化习惯出发,而应当在翻译时更多地对中西文化进行比较,关注西方文化中特有的习俗和文化特点。在英美文学的翻译中,要更加关注中西文化差异,深入地了解西方文化对英美文学的感染力和渗透力,保证对英美文学翻译的质量。随着当前世界文化的交流越来越频繁,只有充分了解中西文化差异,充分考虑中西文化鲜明的个性,才能在英美文学翻译上有所建树。
Geographical differences produce different cultures, different cultural differences reflected in the language. The differences between Chinese and western cultures have an important impact on English and American literary translation. Due to the geographical differences between China and the West, customs, natural environment and other aspects of influence, determines the great differences exist between Chinese and Western cultures. These cultural differences lead us not to proceed from our cultural habits simply when translating English and American literature, but to compare more Chinese and Western cultures in translation and to pay attention to the unique customs and cultural features in Western culture. In the translation of British and American literature, we should pay more attention to the cultural differences between China and the West, understand deeply the contagious power and penetration of Western culture on English and American literature, and ensure the quality of English and American literature translation. As the current world culture exchanges more and more frequently, only by fully understanding the differences between Chinese and western cultures and fully considering the distinct personality of Chinese and Western cultures can we accomplish something in the translation of British and American literature.
