Biondi提出了在真空系统中应用高速率非冷凝式的绝缘物捕集器。这种装有人造沸石或活性氧化铝小球的捕集器用以防止泵的油蒸汽反向扩散入被抽系统是很有效的。在连续排气的可拆卸真空系统的实验工作中,共同的困难之一是不容易在较长的时间内把氧化物阴极的激活维持在较高的水平。本文记述一个确定氧化铝捕集器性能的实验。
Biondi proposed the use of high-rate non-condensing insulation traps in vacuum systems. Such a trap equipped with artificial zeolite or activated alumina pellets is effective in preventing the pump oil vapor from diffusing back into the pumping system. One of the common difficulties in the experimental work of a continuously evacuable detachable vacuum system is that it is not easy to maintain the oxide cathode activation at a high level for a longer period of time. This article describes an experiment to determine the performance of alumina traps.
