准确测定富钴结壳的生长年代和间断迄今仍为一项难度较大的工作,制约着对结壳的成因、发育过程与控制因素、区域构造古海洋学背景等的研究.选取中太平洋海山具有清晰多层构造的一个富钴结壳进行逐层采样分析,综合运用Co通量定年法、与海水187Os/188Os演化曲线对比定年法、钙质超微化石地层划分等多种年代学方法,确定该富钴结壳的初始生长年龄为晚白垩世Campanian期(约75~80Ma),并发现早古新世、中始新世、晚始新世、早-中中新世等4个时段不等的间断期,为该区结壳发育过程及其所揭示的古海洋环境演化的深入研究提供了重要的时代背景.
The exact determination of the age and discontinuity of cobalt-rich crusts is still a difficult task to date, which restricts the study of the genesis, developmental process and controlling factors of crusts, the paleoceanographic background of regional tectonics, etc. In the study, Cobalt-rich crust with clear multi-layer structure is sampled and analyzed layer-by-layer. Based on the chronological data of Co-flux dating method, sea-water 187Os / 188Os evolutionary dating, calcareous microfossil stratigraphy and other chronological methods, The initial growth age of this cobalt-rich crust was confirmed to be the Late Cretaceous Campanian (~ 75 ~ 80Ma) and four periods including Early Pliocene, Middle Eocene, Late Eocene, Early-Middle Miocene Unequal interim period provides an important background for the deep study of the crustal development and the revealed evolution of the paleoceanic environment in this area.
