王国清教授1932年出生于东北一个贫苦农民的家庭。1950年,他参加了中国人民志愿军。1956年沈阳医科大学毕业后,分配到中国人民解放军胸科医院,后转业到中国医学科学院肿瘤医院,从事胸外科工作。四十多年来,王国清教授在开展胸外科事业中,做出了不少贡献,尤其是他深入我国食管癌高发区的农村现场,开展食管癌早诊早治的临床和科学研究,将他最宝贵的年华奉献给了农村卫生工作,奉献给了中国食管癌防治事业。
Professor Wang Guoqing was born in 1932 in a poor peasant family in the northeast. In 1950, he participated in the Chinese People’s Volunteers. After graduating from Shenyang Medical University in 1956, he was assigned to Chest Hospital of PLA and transplanted to Tumor Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences to work in thoracic surgery. Over the past 40 years, Professor Wang Guoqing has made a lot of contributions to the cause of thoracic surgery. In particular, he has made in-depth clinical and scientific studies in the early diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer in rural areas where the incidence of esophageal cancer is high in our country. His most precious year dedicated to rural health work, devoted to the cause of esophageal cancer prevention and control in China.
