Objective To analyze the health status of the lens of radiation workers in a nuclear power station in Guangdong Province and provide a scientific basis for further promoting occupational health protection. Methods The data of the lens examination of the radiation workers of nuclear power stations who conducted occupational health examination in Shenzhen Occupational Disease Prevention Hospital from 2013 to 2015 were selected to analyze the changes in three years. Results The turbidity rates of lens in radiographers from 2013 to 2015 were 4.13%, 4.96% and 4.47% respectively, with no significant difference (P> 0.05). In 2015, the opacity of lens (4.47%) was 1.95% (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between different working age radiation workers (P> 0.05). With the increase of age, the ophthalmic lens opacity increased. Compared with different age groups, The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Radiation workers of this nuclear power station are still exposed to low doses of radioactivity for eye damage. It is very important to protect the eyes of the eye. Radiation protection of nuclear power station radiation workers should be strengthened, and regular health checkups should be conducted so that early detection and early treatment can be achieved.
