In September 1972, a new uranium deposit was discovered in the eastern part of the Aligate River in the northern part of Australia, named Jabiluka. So far, mineralization has been observed from the depths of about 100 meters to the surface. A drilling network with a distance of 30 meters is arranged. 47 diamond holes revealed mineralization above the boundary grade (0.05% U_3O_8). According to the above drilling data, the calculated reliable reserves of 3000 tons U_3O_8, additional 450 tons of inferred reserves. The deposit was produced in metamorphic rocks in much the same order as other uranium mineralizations in the area.
