硫是植物体内必需的元素.植物在生长发育过程中,根部从土壤吸收硫酸盐,经转化利用形成蛋白质,氨基酸和辅酶A.不同植物种的叶片中总流量都是恒定的,这反映出植物在长期历史演变中形成的一种生理特性.而通过叶片气体交换进入植物体内的气态SO_2,只有很少部分再转化利用,98%转换成硫酸盐累积于植物叶细胞内,因此,分析植物叶内的硫含量,并找出其与大气SO_2浓度的相关系数及叶片硫的累积规律,就可用于大气SO_2污染监测和评价工作,这方面的研究国内外已有不少报导,本文拟以成都市主要行道树二球悬铃木(Platnus acerifolia)叶片含硫量的测定,对成都市大气So_2污染现状进行监测评价.
