陈之佛致力于工笔花鸟画创作主要集中在他生命后期的20余年间。自20世纪30年代末到他去世,先后创作了五百余幅工笔花鸟画精品。这批作品究竟散佚何处,有些可能已经成为永远的秘密。陈之佛大部分工笔花鸟画作品的收藏信息不明确,使我们今天对陈之佛的绘画艺术很难有全面、整体的认识,令人惋惜。即使如此,陈之佛仍然有一百
Chen Zhifu devoted himself to the creation of meticulous flower and bird painting mainly concentrated in the later period of his life more than 20 years. Since the late 1930s, when he passed away, he has created more than 500 pieces of elaborate flower and bird paintings. Where these works are scattered, some may have become the secret forever. It is regrettable that the collection information of most of the works of Chen Chih-tung’s flower-and-bird paintings is not clear enough so that it is hard for us to have a comprehensive and overall understanding of Chen’s painting art today.
