2008年是研究中国形象的一个绝佳机会,而最大的亮点莫过于北京奥运会。奥运之后,全球面对着一个不同的中国——奥运会在某种程度上改变了中国的面貌;而世界对中国、中国对自己也有了新的看法。作为一个在世界政治中冉冉升起的明星和潜在的强国,中国将向哪里去?这是全球共同关心的话题。奥运会刚刚闭幕,8月24日,《纽约时报》便发表了Jim Yardley的一篇新闻分析,题目是“奥运光彩之后,中国面临什么?”(After Glow of Games,What Next for China?),引来了87份评论,众说纷纭,其中8篇得到编辑的推荐,77份得到了多至88少至1位读者的推荐。本文就是对这一个案进行的文本研究。研究的主要做法首先是通读文本,包括新闻分析本文和全部87篇评论,在Yardley文章的基础上,略作评析,解读87份读者评论,挑出核心观点;其次,根据评论表达的意见,分为“赞同”、“反对”和“中性”几种态度,进行简单计数;然后再做进一步分析,最后形成结论。本文分为四个部分。一、研究缘起和奥运会后的背景情况以及此次文本研究的主旨及方法;二、对原文的文本解读;三、对读者评论的统计分析;四、结论。本文对互联网构建舆论场所和公共领域的方法进行了简单讨论。
2008 is an excellent opportunity to study China’s image, and the biggest bright spot is the Beijing Olympic Games. After the Olympics, the world is facing a different China - the Olympic Games have changed the face of China to some extent. The world has also taken a new view of China and China. As a star and a potential powerhouse rising in world politics, where will China go? This is a topic of global concern. The Olympic Games have just concluded. On August 24, the New York Times published a news analysis by Jim Yardley titled “What China faces after the Olympics?” (After Glow of Games, What Next for China?) , Attracted 87 comments, divergent opinions, of which 8 were recommended by editors and 77 were recommended by as many as 88 readers to 1 reader. This article is a textual study of this case. The main research approach is first reading the text, including the news analysis of this article and all 87 comments, based on the Yardley article, a little comment, read 87 reader comments, pick out the core point of view; second, based on comments expressed comments For “approval”, “opposition” and “neutral” several attitude, a simple count; and then do further analysis, the final conclusion. This article is divided into four parts. First, the study of origin and the background of the Olympic Games and the text of this study and the main thrust of the method; Second, the text of the original interpretation; Third, the reader’s comments on the statistical analysis; Fourth, the conclusion. This article briefly discusses the methods of constructing public opinion sites and public areas in the Internet.
