国际小学外语课程发展大体上经历了20世纪60年代以前的萌芽期、50-60年代的繁荣期、60年代中后期到80年代的衰退期,以及20世纪90年代至今的复兴期四个时期,如今正方兴未艾。小学外语课程在未来将日益获得承认,逐步成为各国小学的正规课程,并与初中后外语教育相衔接,形成K12范围内的整体视野。
