Combining the specific requirements of cultural relics protection and the influencing factors of seismic performance of structures, a seismic evaluation method for macroscopic inspection and quantitative evaluation of masonry pagodas was proposed, and it was applied in the seismic appraisal of ancient pagodas in Yangzhou.
