多数社会科学调查表明经济景况的衰退可引起自杀率的升高。然而以往的调查都有其弊病,即他们都是以年作为分析的时间单位,用这样大的时间单位,调查者就很难估计其滞后效应的时间长短,同时也失去了其自相关的作用(autocorrelaioneffects).
Most social science surveys show that a recession in the economy can cause an increase in suicide rates. However, the previous surveys all had their drawbacks. That is, they all used the unit of time as the analysis. With such a large unit of time, it is very difficult for investigators to estimate the lag effect and also lose their autocorrelation (autocorrelaioneffects).
