刚果12号桉是1972年由中国林业科学院热带林业研究所在尖峰岭试种,1980年又由全国桉树研究协作组提供少量种子在海口市郊种植。通过几年的引种观察,证明刚果12号桉具有速生粗生抗逆性强的优点。至1986年底,全岛种植面积45ha。现将刚果12号桉在海南岛的生长表现作一介绍。
Congo 12 Eucalyptus was planted in Jianfengling by the Institute of Tropical Forestry of the Chinese Academy of Forestry in 1972, and was planted in the suburbs of Haikou by the National Eucalypt Research Collaboration in 1980 with a small amount of seeds. After several years of introduction and observation, it has been proven that Eucalyptus 12 has the advantage of rapid survival and resilience. By the end of 1986, the entire island planted area 45ha.
