2006 is a bumper harvest year for the US training industry, and e-learning is jumping into the brightest star of the industry for the year. According to the latest issue of the “Training” annual report by the authoritative training magazine, U.S. spending on training increased by about 7% to a record 55.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2005. On average, each trainee employee spent $ 1,273 on his employer. So, what is the doping for the training industry in the United States in 2006? JoshBersin, founder of Bersin & Associates, a consultancy for the training industry, believes that the primary reason is that “the sustained growth of the U.S. economy” is the second only to the E- Learning applications matures.
