All ancient Chinese medicine books record that ginsenoside has emetic effect. In the “Common Chinese Pharmacy” and “Chinese Medicine Clinical Handbook”, ginseng is also classified as emesis. And recorded: ginseng root has vomiting and mild tonic effect, and emetic effect is its main aspect. However, does ginsenoside have emetic effect? The author talks about personal opinion. The 500 g of ginseng root was discarded by the pharmacy bureau and was given to a female patient for treatment of blood vertigo, 10 grams per serving, twice daily, even for 25 servings. No vomiting occurred during the day. In 1982, I worked with Liu Fengming’s old Chinese medicine practitioners. On May 20, the pharmacy also tossed 600 grams of ginseng.
