The capital intensity of energy projects has reached new heights ever. According to the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA), the total investment in global energy projects will be close to 38 trillion U.S. dollars by 2035. Among them, the power industry projects account for 45% of the total global investment. Of the nearly $ 17 trillion in total power investment, 58% is spent on new generation capacity and the rest is investment in power transmission and distribution. Driven by rapid urbanization and economic growth, energy infrastructure has gained strong support from governments because of its strong engine of economic growth.
