《动物园的故事》讲述的是孤独的杰瑞和皮特在某个星期天的下午在纽约的中央公园相遇,由于杰瑞不断地追问彼得迫使彼得与他交流,最终由此引起的矛盾导致杰瑞自我毁灭的悲剧性故事。它是一部独幕剧,作者展现给观众的仅仅是两人的对话,直到剧终以暴力和死亡结局。这部剧的出现是美国戏剧创作史上的一个重要转折点。作为荒诞派戏剧的代表作,作品致力于揭示世界的异化,以尖锐的讽刺抨击美国人的冷漠。本文试图从语用学的角度,主要运用合作原则来分析《动物园的故事》的对白。希望对该剧的话语欣赏有一定的理论指导意义。
“The Story of a Zoo” tells the story of lonely Jerry and Pitt meeting in New York’s Central Park on a Sunday afternoon. Jerry’s self-esteem as Jerry continually asks Peter to force Peter to communicate with him Destruction of the tragic story. The appearance of this drama is an important turning point in the history of American theater creation. As a masterpiece of the absurd drama, his work is devoted to revealing the alienation of the world and attacking the apathy of the Americans with a sharp irony. This article tries to analyze the dialogue of “Zoo Story” mainly from the perspective of pragmatics. Hope that the discourse of the play has some theoretical significance.
