中国科学院物理研究所科技人员最近研制成一种用于制作第二代信息可擦除磁光光盘的锰基多元合金新材料。这种根据新的物理思想、采用新工艺研制成的锰基多元合金的克尔转角高达0.96度,与目前国外所采用的非晶铽铁钻材料相比,新材料的克尔转角是它的2.5倍,而反射率却相同,热稳定性良好。与老的磁光材料锰铋合金相比,虽然它们的克尔转角大致相等,但锰基多元合金克服了锰铋合金所存在的高温相变,而且新材料的晶粒尺寸效应显
Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences recently developed a technology for the production of second-generation information-erasable magneto-optical disk of manganese-based multi-alloy new materials. According to the new physical thought, the Kerr rotation angle of the manganese-based multi-element alloy developed by the new process reaches as high as 0.96 degrees. Compared with the current foreign countries, the Kerr rotation angle of the new material is that of 2.5 times, while the reflectivity is the same, good thermal stability. Compared with the old magneto-optical materials, manganese-bismuth alloys, the Mn-based multi-component alloys overcome the high-temperature phase transition of Mn-Bi alloys though their Kerr angles are approximately the same, and the grain size effect of the new materials
